As an incorporator and continuous board member of Bridge to Home since 1996, Mark has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s mission to address homelessness through housing, supportive services, and advocacy. His tenure as vice president and president provided steady governance during periods of establishment and growth, ensuring the organization’s long-term stability and effectiveness in serving our most vulnerable individuals and now families. Beyond Bridge to Home, Mark’s commitment to community service spans faith-based organizations, education, workforce development, and economic leadership. Other Contributions Mark has made significant in-kind and intangible contributions that have greatly amplified the impact of the organizations he serves. As a seasoned attorney, Mark has consistently provided trusted legal insight, strategic guidance, and governance support, often quietly and without compensation, to help nonprofits navigate complex decisions, strengthen policies, and ensure long-term sustainability. Mark is widely respected for his steady presence, sound judgment, and willingness to step in wherever needed. He brings people together, builds consensus, and mentors emerging leaders, helping boards operate more effectively and collaboratively. . Beyond time and expertise, Mark contributes deeply through relationships, credibility, and trust. His 35 years of service at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church reflect deep-rooted community engagement, including leadership in capital development, stewardship, and outreach. His involvement with local boards, advisory councils, and business organizations has strengthened collaboration across sectors, benefiting nonprofits, small businesses, and families throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. His long-standing commitment signals stability to donors, partners, and community stakeholders, strengthening confidence in the organizations he supports. Intangible contributions like leadership, mentorship, and dedication have created value for Bridge to Home and the Santa Clarita Valley. Biography Mark received his B.A. from UCLA. in 1976 and his J.D. from U.C. Davis School of Law in 1979. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1979 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Central, Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California; District of Arizona), Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Los Angeles County and Santa Clarita Valley Bar Associations and has served as a Judge Pro Tem in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Mark’s practice emphasizes business and real estate transactions, business-related civil litigation, bankruptcy and related litigation, and trust, wills and probate matters. Mark has served on the boards of directors of several nonprofit organizations, including the Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association, Valley Industry Association (VIA) and Bridge to Home SCV, which operates homeless services and a shelter in Santa Clarita. Mark was named Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association “Lawyer of the Year” for 2019.

Organization Impact Pamela Verner’s impact on Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley spans more than two decades and reflects an extraordinary level of commitment, leadership, and service. She first became involved as a volunteer for the Festival of Trees in 2005–2006, supporting event operations and youth-centered activities, and has remained deeply connected to the organization ever since. Pamela joined the Board of Directors in 2022 and immediately stepped into key leadership roles during a pivotal period for the organization. From 2022 through 2024, she served as Auction chair, successfully leading the Annual Benefit Auction back to an in-person format following a two-year hiatus. Her leadership helped revitalize donor engagement, strengthen community relationships, and generate critical support for the Club’s mission. In recognition of her exceptional dedication, Pamela was named Boys & Girls Club SCV Volunteer of the Year in 2022 and Board Member of the Year in 2024. Pamela currently serves as Advisory Board chair (2024–present) and has held executive leadership positions including secretary in 2025 and vice president in 2026. She will also serve as Festival of Trees Chair in both 2025 and 2026, bringing her long-standing institutional knowledge and passion back to one of the Club’s signature fundraising events. Pamela further demonstrates her commitment to excellence by attending the 2024 & 2025 Boys & Girls Club National Conferences, where she engaged in governance, fundraising, and youth development best practices. Her leadership continues to strengthen the Club’s sustainability and expand its positive impact on youth and families throughout the Santa Other Contributions Pamela has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to community service through extensive volunteer leadership, nonprofit governance, and civic engagement across the Santa Clarita Valley. Her service spans organizations addressing housing insecurity, domestic violence, family support, education, nutrition, senior services, women’s leadership, and community development. Pamela has held numerous leadership roles for major community fundraising events, including serving as chair of the SCV Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament in 2017 and 2018, committee member for the SCV Charity Chili Cook-Off from 2017–2022, and Silent Auction chair in 2022. She has also served as a volunteer event planner for the METAvivor Met Gala and participated in fundraising efforts for Rotary Club of SCV, Relay for Life, Million Meals, and Hands on SCV. Her nonprofit governance experience includes serving as Executive Board treasurer and Board of Overseers member for Albert Einstein Academy, founding member of the Child & Family Center Young Leadership Corp, and long-term committee service for Child & Family Center events such as Taste of the Town and Family Ride. Pamela also volunteered regularly with Bridge to Home, serving weekend breakfasts for individuals experiencing homelessness and participating on the site selection committee that helped identify a permanent year-round shelter location. Biography Pamela Verner has been a proud resident of the Santa Clarita Valley since 1981 and is deeply rooted in the community she has spent more than four decades serving. A graduate of Saugus High School, she earned an Associate of Arts degree in Biology from the College of the Canyons and has built a successful career as a self-employed commercial real estate broker with SCV Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc., where she has worked since 2007. Pamela is widely recognized for her lifelong commitment to civic engagement, nonprofit leadership, and community service. Her volunteer involvement spans more than 20 years and includes leadership and governance roles with organizations focused on youth development, housing stability, family services, education, senior support, and women’s empowerment. She is known for combining strategic leadership with hands-on service, bringing both vision and practical experience to the organizations she supports. Throughout her service, Pamela has chaired and served on committees for major community fundraisers and events, contributed to nonprofit governance at the board and executive levels, and helped organizations strengthen fundraising capacity, community visibility, and long-term sustainability. Her leadership has been recognized through numerous honors, including SCV Chamber Volunteer of the Year, JCI Top 100 (Forty Under 40 of All Time), and the WeWil Collaborative International Women’s Day “Inspiring Leader” Award. In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Pamela currently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Santa Clarita, reflecting the trust placed in her judgment and dedication to the community’s future. Pamela and her husband, Dennis, raised their two sons in the Santa Clarita Valley. Organization Impact: Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation For more than a decade Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation has benefited from Holly’s leadership, vision, and volunteer service. Holly joined Henry Mayo Newhal1 hospital as a weekly volunteer in the Women’s Unit. Eventually she became the volunteer mainstay at the front desk, greeting and guiding visitors. She also joined the Henry Mayo Auxiliary and was elected treasurer, eventually handling all fundraising for the Auxiliary. Holly became president of the Auxiliary for two years following her stint as treasurer. She implemented new programs to raise and increase funds and awareness for the hospital. While volunteering at the hospital and active in Auxiliary, she also became a member of Home Tour. Her first position was a volunteer docent at one of the showcase homes and then she took on home décor coordination. She has been a consistent sponsor of the Home Tour Gala. Holly rose to president from 2024–2026, overseeing multiple committees and guiding volunteers. Under her leadership, the Home Tour consistently raised more than $100,000 annually, with year-over-year growth. These funds have directly supported the purchase of critical, life-saving equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and are now helping advance the hospital’s Roberta G . Cardiovascular services an essential expansion of services for the community.. Her commitment to Henry Mayo, her energy and enthusiasm, and her friendly demeanor is invaluable to us. Holly also volunteers for the annual Henry Mayo Bingo or Bust raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness. She helps with event coordination, fundraising and sponsorships and is a generous donor. What sets Holly apart is her deep commitment to people. She thrives in one-on-one settings, working directly with individuals who want to improve their circumstances and believe in a better future for themselves. She is a steadfast sponsor of nearly every Soroptimist event and program, ensuring vital initiatives have the resources they need to succeed. Throughout the years, Holly has consistently used her voice and platform to unite individuals around causes that strengthen women, families, and the broader community. Holly is personally responsible for recruiting and mentoring more than 50 active volunteers at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, many of whom continue to serve long after their initial involvement. As a leader and former president of Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley, she also grew and sustained the organization through hands-on engagement, welcoming and mentoring at least 15 dedicated members who remain active in advancing Soroptimist’s mission to improve the lives of women and girls. As former president of Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley, she led initiatives focused on improving the lives of women and girls through education, financial empowerment, mentorship, and access to critical resources. Her leadership helped advance Soroptimist’s mission of enabling women and girls to live their dreams. Her commitment to service began early as a leader with Girl Scouts Troop 1462, mentoring young girls who have since grown into women now serving others through nonprofit and community-based careers—an enduring testament to her influence across generations. Holly has also devoted significant time to advancing women’s health initiatives at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, including support for the Sheila Veloz Breast Center. Through her efforts, women facing financial hardship have gained access to essential services such as mammograms and cancer care. For more than 20 years, Holly and a group of dedicated women have adopted families through LA Family Housing during the holidays, providing dignity, hope, and tangible support to women and children in need. She has been a resident of Santa Clarita for decades with her husband Russ and two children.

Cherise’s service on nonprofit boards strengthens organizations and improves outcomes for families, students, and women throughout Santa Clarita. She rarely says no when asked to help, volunteering her time and expertise for complex projects. Cherise also brings vision and initiative, creating programs that benefit the community, including founding the Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Walk, which continues to engage and unite 1000s of Santa Clarita residents annually. Cherise generously contributes her professional expertise, time, and mentorship without expectation of recognition, using her strategic planning, governance knowledge, and training experience to strengthen nonprofit boards while helping them avoid additional costs. She has also personally supported the Bridge to Home Capital Campaign and fundraising initiatives, shaped local educational policy through the William S. Hart Union High School District Board of Trustees, and provided hands-on leadership in organizing events, scholarships, and community service initiatives. Cherise consistently models collaboration, patience, and integrity, elevating those around her and inspiring participation, engagement, and shared purpose. Her intangible contributions, credibility, trust, and vision, have united and strengthened every organization she serves and created lasting, positive outcomes for Santa Clarita Valley. Biography Dr. Cherise G. Moore believes in service to others above self and has been an educator and community change agent for more than 30 years. She has been an active member of Zonta International since 2009, providing sustained leadership at both the district and club levels. A member of the Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley since 2011, her leadership was recognized with the Zontian of the Year award in 2023. She began her Zonta service with the Zonta Club of Burbank as Club Director and founding chair of the Zonta Wings Grant program. Dr. Moore has served on the William S. Hart Union High School District Board of Trustees since 2017 and is the immediate past board president. As a three-time elected member, she has championed student mental health and wellness, resulting in wellness centers at all district schools, while also advancing career technical education, adult education, college and career readiness, and data-informed decision-making. Her leadership has strengthened educational opportunities and pathways for all students. She received the Ultimate Educational Leader Award in 2025 and has been named to the Santa Clarita Valley Top 51 Most Influential list seven times, most recently in 2025. Professionally, Dr. Moore is a principal researcher leading adult education and workforce development initiatives, providing professional development and technical assistance to support adult learners. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego. Previously, she was a district-level administrator, secondary principal in California and Arizona, and a secondary and elementary teacher, including serving as a Career Technical Education teacher. She holds degrees from UCLA and Arizona State University, including a Ph.D. in Public Administration. Cherise is married to U.S. Navy veteran Paul Charles and is a proud mother and grandmother, inspired by the belief that no barriers should limit future generations.
