MISSION
The Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation is a private family foundation whose mission is “to improve the quality of life within the geographical areas associated with the career and legacy of California pioneer, Henry Mayo Newhall.”
Henry Mayo Newhall was a New England Yankee who caught gold fever in 1849 and landed in San Francisco in the Gold Rush. Unable to find gold, he started an auction business in 1851, which thrived. In the 1860s, he established the first railroad from San Francisco to San Jose and in the 1870s used the proceeds to buy Spanish land grants in central and southern California. Along the way he became a founder and benefactor of many charitable, social, and educational institutions in 19th-century California (see the link “About H.M. Newhall”). In 1963, his fourth-generation descendants established the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation as a tribute to their patriarch.
MISSION
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
The Club is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization. People are often astonished to learn that membership in the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley is only $60 per year per child for the first child and $45 for each additional child in a household.
The Club’s success also depends on the dedicated volunteers who make tremendous contributions of time and talent, with responsibilities ranging from board membership and technical expertise, to in-kind donations and services for our special events and fundraisers. Their commitment enables The Club to offer the most affordable and accessible quality youth programs in the valley.

MISSION
Our Mission statement is straightforward. Project Sebastian is a hub of information, education, and compassion. We will devote the time and energy necessary to educate, advocate, and provide support to fight all rare diseases. We also feel very strongly about connecting those in need that are suffering from all rare diseases. We will provide support groups for those wanting to discuss, share and connect with others going through the rare disease journey.
We want you to join us in our crusade in finding a cure for all rare diseases. This is the heart and soul of this charity. We are helping those in need who do not know how or what to do. Neurological disorders such as Epilepsy and Batten Disease, and many others, have greatly affected our youth today, resulting in death. We hope you can join us to learn about a great organization such as Project Sebastian as we tackle such incredible diseases.
